MPPCTI has always devoted to the development of Venezuelan aerospace industry and technology, and it is the direct user of VRSS-1. Subordinated to MPPCTI, the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE), the Venezuela space agency, takes charge of in-orbit operation, management and application of the VRSS-1 satellite.

Before making this cooperation, the China Great Wall Industry Group Co., Ltd. had October 30, 2008, LM-3B launch vehicle in Venezuela on the 1st communication satellite was successfully launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. Space Star Technology Co., Ltd, is a satellite application high-technology enterprise exclusively invested and controlled by China Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd (stock code: 600118). It is Institute No. 503 of the Fifth Research Academy, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and also the major supporter of the Satellite Application Research Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. With over 30 years’ professional experience, the company is located at the Zhongguancun Area of Beijing.
   

Shanghai Academy of Spacflight Technology (SAST) was established in August 1961, and now produces a wide range of satellites, launch vehicles, manned spacecraft and related products. SAST is also involved in the development of civilian products, such as automobile air-conditioners, office automation, home appliances, mechanical and electronic products, import and export trade, and property management.

   

China Satellite Launch & Tracking Control General (CLTC) was founded in 1986. CLTC provides satellite launch and tracking control services including the launch and tracking control of both domestic and foreign satellites, design and manufacture of satellite tracking, control, monitoring and display equipment, and launch site construction.
